This month we visited the garden of Lesley and Martin Player at Mullumbimby.

In this garden one felt calm and relaxed.
At the rear of the property Lesley and Martin have designed a garden to enjoy from the verandah.
Several new deciduous tree plantings will soon provide extensive shade in summer and sunshine in winter while framing the various garden beds that are filled with colour from roses, tibouchinas, mussaendas and a host of 'cottage garden' plants.
We all loved the sandstone-edged pool beside the house with three different types of beautiful waterlilies.
The entrance to the property, through a canopy of tall trees, leads to an open area featuring two spectacular white mussaendas nestled in front of the house. A bird bath here is shaded from the harsh sun.
