This month we visited the garden of Isabelle and Larry Truesdale in Mullumbimby. The visit had been posponed by a week because of the weather but it turned out fine and sunny for today’s visit. The garden seemed to have benefitted from the rain and everything was looking great.
The front of the house is a formal garden of annuals and roses but the back transitions past the swimming pool to a mini-rainforest at the rear. There are mature trees and a dense understorey of bromeliads, ferns with many orchids on the trees. There are a number of quirky features to amuse visitors as they wonder around under the canopy of the large trees.
