Succulents

Jane Collins talks about her favourite plants – the Succulents

Jane has a very extensive collection of succulents and is a very hip young woman who displays her collection online, has correspondents who can identify species and friends who share her passion for these varied plants.

Her collection is in regular pots … also in some really interesting pieces like teapots, shoes, milk jugs, too. If her favourite container has no drainage holes she puts a layer of small stones at the base.
And to nourish her plants she uses a good quality LIGHT potting mix, places pot where there’s maximum sunshine and provides water via the mist setting on a spray gun.

Succulents in general are described as plants with fleshy leaves, stems or roots.
They are waxy, have stout stems and stomata to regulate moisture.
